Run Good was formed in 2012 by a team of sports, publishing and business start-up professionals. We have a passion for sports content in all of its forms, and have over 45 years of combined experience in the business 


Dave Woods, Editorial Director & co-founder

Dave is a co-founder of Run Good and overseas the complete editorial production process which includes our consumer-focused brands, team of contributors and social media channels.

Dave started life as a freelance journalist before taking his first full time job on the launch of Computer Arts magazine. He stayed at Future Publishing for three years before moving to Dennis Publishing and editing the legendary PCZone. In his 12 years at Dennis, Dave launched PokerPlayer magazine and worked as Editorial Director over a number of titles including The Big Issue.

He now ensures that the output of Run Good is second to none. That means finding the right people, educating them with the right skills and ensuring that all of our contributors share the same philosophy and passion for the highest quality editorial.

Wayne Veysey, Editor in Chief & co-founder


Wayne is a journalist, author and broadcaster with 17 years of professional experience. He started at regional newspapers in Shropshire after graduating from the Midland News Association training scheme before joining Press Association as a news reporter in 2001.

He then spent seven years in senior correspondent roles at the Evening Standard and five years as chief correspondent of Goal, and has contributed freelance material to a number of leading UK newspapers and magazines.

Wayne also has seven years experience of university lecturing at St Mary’s University, Surrey University, Roehampton University and Harlow College, and has an excellent track record of training and mentoring young news and sports journalists, many of whom have senior jobs in the media industry.


Tim Farthing, Commercial Director & co-founder


Tim is our commercial expert and has worked in content publishing for 15 years, including a nine year stint at Dennis Publishing, under the leadership of eccentric magazine guru Felix Dennis.

Tim started by selling advertising then developed these skills to embrace larger commercial deals and finally took on responsibility for launching magazines and digital brands.

He focuses his energies on building relationships with clients and suppliers, managing the revenues and costs of the business and driving the brands towards profitability.
